THE EPISODES: When Time-Shifting Went Wrong!
The Invasion of Dragonsharp
Sometimes during the many alterations of the space-time continuum that our adventurers have to do, things go wrong. When it does they end up in some strange times and places. We have provided some links above so that you can see what happened when they became involved in what was going on when they by chance they "landed" in a strange place and strange time !
The Invasion of Dragonsharp: An Event in 2010
On the 6th August 2010, during an attempt to use a special portal, members of the Troupe managed to get themselves confused over its operation, and found themselves embroiled in a sequence of events that took place in Dragonsharp, which is a Mycretian town in the Desert Lands. The year was around 4335 or 6. When our troupe landed there, forces of the City State of the World Emperor had invaded and taken control of the town. The Mycretian residents had invoked the Treaty of Lakenheath, which committed several regions, including the City State of the Invincible Overlord, and Barbarian Altanis, to mutual defence in case of hostile attack.
The Town of Dragonsharp - at peace!
Detachments of Mycretian forces under local commanders, and forces from Barbarian Altanis under Lord Semlicius arrived together. Semlicius did not get on well with the Mycretian Commander, but also had a more important objective: that being to arrest the local Mayor, Pragnok and deliver him to justice, dead or alive, in Barbarian Altanis.

Semlicius had a letter from Kravton the Cryptic authorising the arrest of Pragnok
the Mayor but he never got to use it. Semlicius was prevented from entering the town by CSWE troops,
although he managed eventually to fight his way through the guard, and past a number of aggrieved
villagers who laid responsibility for several crimes at the feet of Barbarian Altanis troops. Although he eventually lost all his men he fought some way towards the mayoral house but died on the bridge. Before he died he handed over his letter to the Commander of the Mycretian force, but he too was killed, making it impossible therefore to arrest the Mayor. The deputy commander of the Mycretian forces escaped with his life at the last minute. Several undercurrents of activity were underway during these events: A local tribe of Orcs were seeking a peace treaty, and another group were also searching out a murderer and would also have been interested in arresting the mayor. All this led to a period of intense fighting, but the net result was unfortunately in favour of the CWSE troops, who remained in control of the town. |
